From the Desk of the

       Parent Coordinator

Hello P.S. 193 families!

Thank you for visiting my page.  I am thrilled to be a part of the P.S. 193 school community which has always been a strong one.  The partnerships between the school's staff and the families, working together, ensures that our students have the best opportunity for success, as we navigate all that is happening in the world and in our individual lives.  This is why my role, as Parent Coordinator, is so important.  My job, as well as my passion, is to support our families however I can.  With that said, when you have questions or concerns that are not pertaining to the day-to-day classroom academics, in which our teachers offer support, or if you need assistance or resources, of any kind, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

The entire P.S. 193 team is here to support you and your child(ren) as well, and it is important to keep the lines of communication open. Therefore, all P.S. 193 parents should ensure that you have access to Class Dojo, to the New York City Student Accounts where you have access to your child's grades, attendance and more, and that you are communicating with your child's teacher, on a regular basis.

Our efforts, both at school and at home, will be in vain if we do not work together.   So, let's ensure that our partnership is strong!  There are always opportunities for parents to get involved in their children's educational experience.  One of these ways include attending monthly Parents' Association (PA) meetings, monthly School Leadership Team (SLT) meetings, or joining me at one of our weekly Coffee and Chat events that take place on Fridays.  For parents who work and are not able to attend some of these events, I host many virtual open office hour opportunities and welcome general questions, concerns and/or ideas to be shared during these open forums. One on one meetings, both in person and virtual, are always an option, and of course parents are welcome to call the school and ask for me, anytime.  When all else fails, I can normally be found welcoming our students into the building every morning and outside during dismissal.

Feel free to stop me or reach out to me should you need my help or if you would simply like to say, "Hi!"  I welcome it all! :)

I truly look forward to speaking with you and working with you throughout the year.  But for now, I'll leave you with this quote:

"Every child is a different kind of flower, all together they make this world a beautiful garden"

A good partnership between the school and the home provides the best foundation in which they will grow and succeed!

Have a great day!
